Does God seem far away to you?

Most Christians often feel that way.

Jesus came to bring God close to us.

But we’re believing lies that put God at a great distance.

Click on the video and uncover the lies that you are believing, then embrace the truth of where God really is.

Now I want to hear from you

  1. This is great and all, but the notion of blaming Dad [Never really had one] is ludicrous. When I feel distant from The Almighty most is when my prayers go unanswered. That and when life seems to beat me while I’ down, with no end in sight. My wife and I have cried out to God, but with no response. Now we [my entire family] is feeling so distant from God. We all are wondering why we bother. The Bible says a lot of things. Lately, none of which appears to be true. We’ve asked, but not received. We had faith the size of a mustard seed, but nothing happened favorably for us. The list goes on…
I don’t blame a human for my distance from God. I blame Him. We’ve been trying to stay close to Him in these trying times, but He is seemingly not interested in us.
It’s hard to call it a “lie of Satan,” when the evidence points directly at God.

Thanks Thomas for your note and honesty. You aren’t the only Christian who feels this way.
Here is something to think about.
In Psalm 22:1-4 David cried out some similar thoughts to yours.
My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from saving me, from the words of my groaning? O my God, I cry by day, but you do not answer, and by night, but I find no rest. (Ps. 22:1–2)
David feels forsaken by God as he searches impatiently for rest in Him, but to no avail. Then what David says next, is a turning point in his cry: Yet you are holy, enthroned on the praises of Israel. In you our fathers trusted; they trusted, and you delivered them. (Ps. 22:3–4)
So you need to remind yourself as David did, that you have not been forsaken or abandoned, it’s just not obvious.

    1. this is not easy. I have been asking for my relationship with my son and daughter to be repaired and I have bee estranged for 3 years. I want to trust lord help me to trust.

  3. Dear Thomas,

My heart goes out to you and your wife as I read your response. I actually think your answer is in the words that you wrote.
“I never really had one”–a father. Subconsciously, you are seemingly experiencing/believing that you don’t have a heavenly
Father, who is a very present help to you and your wife 24/7. What Grant spoke is not blame; it’s fact. I know.

My earthly father, now with the Lord, was passive and emotionally uninvolved in me. He didn’t know how to “father” as he
    had never been “fathered” himself.

It took me years to activate in my life what the Lord has spoken to/through Grant in this video. I had to get the Truth from the Living Word of God from my intellectual head to saturate my heart. Father, Jesus, and Holy Spirit are very present helps to you.

My prayer is that you would pray something like, “Abba Father, Your Word is true. I didn’t have an earthly father, but I really need You
as my heavenly Father. Teach me, Abba, to receive Your love as my heavenly Father. Hold me in Your arms of love. Wrap Your healing garment around me, your son Thomas. Teach me to be fathered by You that I might father my children with whom You’ve blessed me to know that they have both me, as an earthly Father, and You, as a heavenly Father Abba–a 24/7 presence.”

Thomas, I so pray that you and your wife would be able to meet Grant and Kathy, if not in person, by phone for healing prayer counsel.

I’m also commissioned/ordained as a healing prayer counselor/minister from Christian Healing Ministries. Because my own testimony is one of “healing in the deep places” before I was commissioned in the mid-90’s, the Holy Spirit quickened your reply, Thomas, to me in
my spirit, and I’m certain that Grant will also prayerfully reply. I’ll keep you and your wife in prayer that Father God and the Lord Jesus will break through to you, even today, in a FRESH, NEW WAY. Let all blockages be removed to your receiving Him as Daddy. Selah<

  5. I just sat down with Jesus and He was holding my left hand. He interlaced his fingers with mine so that I could see and feel the hole in it. I could feel that He was giving me comfort, love and strength which I greatly need as I am still struggling with anxiety.

  6. I too am experiencing a season of unanswered prayer and I’m considering that the dreams I have been praying for are not God’s dreams for me. So I am now asking Him for new dreams. When I asked Jesus how he feels about me He said “I love who you are. I love you just as you are, even without your dreams, you’re Mine. You’re My dream, a dream I had before you were born. I have a plan and a purpose for you and it’s all because of Me and for Me. To know Me, the real Me, is to know My dreams for you. This season is about getting to know the true Me and the true you. It all starts with Knowing the real Me. It takes time to know the true Me and the true you. We partner in Our dreams coming to life. We partner in prayer as we partner in everything. The real dream is Us.

    1. Wow Jackie .. that is beautiful – thank you for sharing, it encourages me to keep pursuing a genuine unshakeable faith.
