Comfort zones can be dangerous!
It’s hard to believe, I know.
We spend years planning, creating, furnishing and decorating our comfort zones.
We’re convinced that if we can just stay in our comfort zone, life will be grand…. forever.
We protect and defend it from threats or intruders with all the resources we have.
We resist anything that pushes us even to the edge of that zone.
But a comfort zone can easily become a prison

Thanks for your video.I think that I have been out of my comfort zone already and God does see me through. I am going to be out of my comfort zone again soon and I know that God will see me through. God Bless You. Phyllis .
Grant, I laughed out loud more than once, Your grace and gently direct observations about our walk in the Lord in regards to comfort zones cracked me up. Abba has given you a gift for illuminating our foolishness in a kind and loving way.
Holy Spirit Come, awaken me from satisfactions that become self imposed prisons. Awaken me from the less than place that I think is a refuge. You are my Refuge and strength Lord Jesus, Awaken me and walk me out of the darkness.
David
God took me outside of my comfort zone two years ago when he had me volunteering at a Christian Camp under a very difficult and harsh supervisor who enjoyed criticizing and slandering others. He taught me submission and humility, temperance and control over impulsivity, and perhaps best of all, He taught me to confront boldly but lovingly.
This past October, I had to put our beloved Australian Shepherd, Bobby, down. Bobby had become my closest and constant companion, best friend, Rock of Gibraltar– in a word, Bobby was my comfort zone. After he was gone I wanted to stop living, the pain and emptiness I felt without him was unbearable. But God has proven Himself to have been always standing in every gap with me and He is making me stronger in many ways. He taught me not to take anything for granted and not to let anything become more important than He is in my life.
Thanks for your video,The Lord took me out of my comfort zone.
Went on a mission trip to Africa, when i was 75 years.
I learned a lot,to not be afraid because He is with me.
Have a blessed New Year.
Ouch! yep.
Thanks for your comments. Leaving your comfort zone is not easy but the rewards can be very significant. Have the courage to step out.
Hahaaaa !! Just have to remember back to contacting you for the first time, Grant, about what was involved in “having you in”. You replied, “It’s easy. Just invite me”, and from then on learning how, with the grace and help of many, to host a city-wide event, packing out a church in our area to host you and Kathy. And then to have you back in a couple of years, for the further blessing and benefit of many. That’s what Our God does. Uses the scaredy-cats, the ones who don’t know how, as a simple tool to bring goodness to others, and glory to Himself !
Hi Grant, Thankyou for your timely video. I have been procrastinating for 2 years about doing a “School of the Prophets” update because I know I have to speak to strangers in the exercises. I have been asking God if this is the time to do it but you know I will get a no if that’s what I want to hear. I have been hiding a bit. So thanks again.
Anita, so I was the one who pushed you out of your comfort zone??!
Glad the meetings were a blessing to so many. It was that seminar that opened the door to Breakforth which took the message of transformation to many hundreds more. You never know how a small scary step can have eternal benefits.
Having just (Dec.) relocated after living in the same area for 27 years is pushing me out of my comfort zone so I’m excited to see what God has in store.
When I was 15 I decided to move to Toronto from Vancouver when I was older. At 19 I did it. Boy, was I out of my comfort zone as I was a very naive 19 year old. I grew a great deal.
I’m looking to say yes to more things this year and offer my talents and time more, I know God will stretch me and, hopefully, I will grow.
