  1. I can relate to this very intimately, which I’m sure many people can. I held a lot of anger in my heart against my grandmother, who abused me as a child. Although she was a very religious (legalistic and traditional) woman, she was very harsh in her discipline tactics for which she truly believed was the right way to treat a child. I published a book last year. The book gave me a way to express my hurt from my past and also hopefully gave others advice about letting go of anger. Writing that book was eye opening for me. I don’t think I knew how much anger I still had for my grandmother until I wrote my book. Letting all that stuff out to the public started a chain reaction for my healing. God started showing me, how I was using my anguish from the abuse to destroy other relationships in my life. I decided to forgive my grandmother and live my life with fullness. She is deceased, and yet I was letting the enemy repeat over and over in my mind why she was wrong. Which also surfaced when others hurt me, and I begin to put those people in the same category as my grandmother. God has released me from that stronghold. Today I don’t go 1 hour being angry with anyone. Even when a person might be malicious in their wrongdoing. I agree with you and your wife. You don’t have to be in a relationship or close to that person in order to move on and forgive them. I live my life free of any hostility or regrets now. I can honestly say, I will never hold on to hurt or anger again, it’s unhealthy and if disrupts my growth in love through Christ. Thank you again for this wonderful lesson in healing.

  3. I was snubbed by a fellow Christian and so much resentment grew in me that I could not stand to be in the same room. I knew that I had to forgive because it was eating at me for years. I asked God to help me to forgive and He did. I’m still not comfortable with this person but I have a peace that only God could give and I’m feeling fine about the past hurt.

  4. As Dr. Grant prayed, I envisioned Father God’s Tree of Life inside me, and the tree is budding beautiful flowers of every kind, representing Father God’s healthy ideas, attitudes, insights, decisions that He grows in me. This tree is pleasingly fragrant. So the encouragement for me is that I will become pleasingly fragrant as I follow Father God’s hints and helps for me, in Jesus’ name. Thank-you so much!

  6. I’ve learned over the years that forgiving others releases me from bondage. But I did not know the difference between forgiveness and reconciliation. In some situations I would feel guilty for not wanting to be with a person even though I had forgiven him or her. I would think that I hadn’t really forgiven and that I needed to do it again. Thank you for showing me the difference.

As I read my comment I realized that Satan had placed those thoughts there and that I was buying in to them. I truly am being transformed!

    Thank you for your ministry!

  8. Grant and Kathy,
I found out much later in life through a Christian counsellor that I had been abused in my early childhood .It was very painful and as I prayed about it, the Lord revealed to me who the perpetrator was . Upon finding out , I drew no bitterness into my spirit because I refused to allow satan to get the upper hand. Immediately, I cried with a pool of tears that Jesus would be with me as I began the ‘process’ of asking forgiveness. It didn’t take long and I can be in the same room with this person now and, I only feel compassion and love for him. I pray for him asking that God would remind him to ask for forgiveness for what he did to me and, I also pray “Father, forgive him for he knows not what he has done.”

  9. Thank you for this gift of holding the door open to healing and transformation–the supernatural gift of Abba father- through forgiveness.. There is nothing positive we can build with the negative in our lives. Iy all has to be covered in the blood and resurrection life of Jesus.May we all move forward in the process of freedom and receiving all the life Our Father has stored up for us.

Please post the name of the book by Mariel Bergner that Kathy mentioned in regard to the healing of the will. I will look for a copy. Thank you David
