Jesus is waiting to heal your wounds!

I bet you didn’t come from a perfect home.

There were likely many times that you were hurt, offended, frightened or shamed.

That leaves emotional wounds which are still affecting you today.

You can’t just keep sweeping those feelings under the rug.

This week our guests are Tommy and Mari Anne Andersen from Freedom House Ministry in Chicago.

Don't sweep it under the rug

Don't sweep it under the rug

As a child, Mari Anne would hide in the dog house to find her safe place.

To her astonishment, Jesus met her there.

In this video, the Andersen’s explain how Jesus wants to come to your place of pain and heal you.

  1. There have been a number of painful experiences in my past and I have dealt with them as the Holy Spirit brings them to me.

It is sometimes not easy but He is patient and helps me become ready.

    Thanks for this blog.

  2. I , LIKE MOST PEOPLE , HAVE HAD SOME TERRIBLY PAINFUL EXPERIENCES IN MY PAST . WHEN THEY HAPPEN , I GO TO THE LORD JESUS WHO TEACHES ME , BY THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT WITHIN ME, THAT TO FORGIVE REALLY IS ” DIVINE.”
I HAVE FOUND THAT WHEN I TRULY FORGIVE SOMEONE FOR A HORRIBLE WRONG THEY HAVE COMMITTED AGAINST ME THAT I FEEL MUCH CLOSER TO MY SAVIOUR . I TRY TO REMEMBER HIS WORDS FROM THE CROSS THAT WERE SPOKEN TO ALL GENERATIONS , ” FORGIVE THEM FATHER FOR THEY KNOW NOT WHAT THEY ARE DOING . “

  3. I had a similar healing experience where Jesus came into some painful memories and helped me to reconcile my past hurts and pains and accept his peace in return. I used to hide underneath some coats in an upstairs closet – one very heavy fur coat comes to mind (my home was not safe or peaceful). When I resurrected this memory Jesus was there with me on his knees and he took that heavy coat and put it on himself.
On another occasion in counseling I was taken back to a time in my teenage years when I made an almost fatal suicide attempt (it was the last time I made any attempt of this nature as I sincerely think I heard the voice of God giving me a choice to live or die). Jesus took me back to my bedroom on that night where I stood holding a large bunch of dead branches – he took the branches and then handed them back to me and as I held them they began to sprout bright yellow flowers – (like forsythia in spring). Finally, I was left holding an armful of flowers. He gave me beauty for the heap of ashes my life had become. I have been living ever since and have learned to value and embrace my life no matter what is thrown my way – I am also a three time cancer survivor.
