Love the fact that Abba wants to launch us everyday into our destiny, this IS walking in the Spirit. It is His affirmations that make up for the trouble and difficulties and give me the energy to overcome the challenges. I like that I can give Him credit for these inner affirmations as coming from Him.
This reminds me of that picture of being up in His lap and then, being sent forth with him alongside , launching me into each days challenges and adventures. I like the sense that He is sending me out daily, and that He trusts me to hear from Him and work alongside Him as we do His work together.
Great Family Of God story Grant.
I didn’t really get the family blessing growing up and I am not saying that to berate my parents. I believe they truly operated in the wisdom they had passed on to them from their parents. I like the saying, ‘God never wastes a hurt’. I began to expereince God’s affirmation and purpose in life when I got into recovery for an alcohol addiction. Today it is my recovery journey that God uses most to create ministry opportunities for me to share with others to give them hope. In fact it was the changes in me that allowed my mother to renew her commitment to Christ many years ago and led to my father’s conversion! I/ve had lots of other wonderful things happen too but I just wanted to say, ‘Not bad for a life that was once aimless, totally empty and without any real purpose or meaning’. Thanks for the great message Dr. Grant.
Excellent video..Dr Grant..right on time as usual for us in the Body of Christ. I had two very dysfunctional, unsaved parents who knew how to curse well, but apparently didn’t know anything about blessing their children or preparing them for life’s journey . But thank God the Lord confirmed His calling to me not too long after I got saved by using some wonderful, godly Christian men and women to release me into my destiny so that I could fulfill His plans for my life. Hearing His still, small voice speak to me daily, affirming His love and protection over my life has been key to walking in that place of victory.Where my parents failed for lack of knowledge, my Heavenly Father has blessed me , encouraged me, and affirmed me more than any one ever could. A whole lot of those unmet childhood needs that I struggled with are no longer there because of His unconditional love and acceptance of me. I can take off the masks and be real with Him because He is the Father who will never leave me nor forsake me. I recently found a three page prophecy given to me by a prophet of God years ago, and I now realised that some of the giftings that were lying dormant within, are now just coming to pass.To God be all the glory..It’s so freeing to know that I’m not really dumb or stupid after all, like they told me as a child. Knowing the truth about ourselves does indeed set us free. Blessings to all. Thanks again, Dr Grant for this timely video.
Great comments. We have all been raised by imperfect people. We have to forgive them, then receive God’s offer to be the parent we never had. He wants to make up for all those empty spots in our personalities.
