How are you using your spiritual gifts?

Dr. Grant Mullen Churches and Leadership, I am significant, Live fearlessly, Moods, Relationships, Uncategorized 7 Comments

We all have spiritual gifts

The effectiveness of those gifts depends on how and where we use them.

We can let the gift rust.

Or see it grow into a major blessing to the Kingdom.

The choice is ours.

This week, learn what to do with your gift.

Now I want to hear from you

How are you using your gifts?  Just leave your comments in the box below.

  1. Talking of togetherness, the video and audio on this clip seem to be out of sync. Is my computer the problem or is it the clip? The part of my brain that processes the visual is messing with the part that processes sound… so it has occurred to me that perhaps this is this a cleverly thought-of means to reinforce the message that there are a lot of benefits in working together. I really like that.
    God bless.

  2. GRANT,
PRESENTLY DUE TO SEVERE HEALTH PROBLEMS I CANNOT ATTEND CHURCH BUT WHEN I WAS IN A MUCH HEALTHIER STATE , MANY YEARS AGO, I WAS A READER AT MY CHURCH WHERE I READ THE WORD OF GOD TO THE PEOPLE . I ALSO WAS THE DIRECTOR OF THE PARISH COUNCIL AND I HAVE FACILITATED PRAYER MEETINGS & BIBLE STUDIES OVER A NINE YEAR PERIOD.
THE LORD HAS CALLED ME TO PRAY IN A DEEPER MODE THAN I EVER HAD IN THE PAST AND I READ HIS WORD AND MEDITATE ON WHAT THE PASSAGES ARE SAYING TO ME .

  3. Patrick, it’s often hard to know what your own gift is. Try asking someone who knows you well, they may be able to see it in you more clearly.

Annie, what a fantastic Joseph testimony! Glad you are now on the victory side of the promise. It’s an encouragement to those of us who are still waiting.

Larry, I’m glad you are using your gift today with the strength you have! You’re a blessing to many, including me.

  4. Hi Grant,

I’m involved in Healing Prayer Ministry both in the room with the client and as an intercessor. I am constantly amazed how God speaks through the intercessors to the client. The intercessors ask God for words of encouragement which are placed on a sheet and popped under the door where the ministry session is taking place. The Intercessors are not given the name of the client and just to see, and be part of, seeing all the gifts being used is very uplifting and exciting. The sheet is always relevant to what has happened in the room.
For those interested in discovering their spiritual gifts try Googling “discovering your spiritual gifts” and this will bring up some tests for you to complete. These are are guide only and not to be taken as from God. As Grant says above, seek out a mature Christian and pray about where God wants you. Blessings to all.

  5. I love teaching and being around people. Helping and encouraging them. I think my gift is Teacher / Pastor. It has been confirmed by a prophetic voice (a credible one!) as well. So very often your you will find that your gifting is in the area that you love operating. Also, i agree that you can’t make it alone – no matter how gifted you are. If you pull an eye out and put it on the top of the mountain, the eye will dry and die. No matter of your calling or gifting, without the Church, you won’t make it. God works through the Church and you must be a part of it.
