It was 29/30 years ago. Now I know that I was experiencing depression, but at the time I really didn’t know what was happening. I was a believer, my husband not, so we didn’t have that much that we enjoyed together except our kids. And I didn’t express my feelings and everything was pent up and broken. I had brought much baggage into the relationship, but of course did not realize that at the time either. Anyways, to make a long story longer I cried out o God in my distress and told him I needed a good laugh. God was so good then and is so good still. Within a very short time, somehow or other, I ended up watching “Honey,I Shrunk the Kids”. I laughed so hard I was curled up on the couch. Then I remembered what I had said to the Lord and I laughed even harder. Still didn’t realize until years later that I had been depressed, but I sure remember the Lord’s faithfulness.
